STATEMENT ON POSSIBLE RELAXATION OF CANNABIS LAWS While welcoming this move as a change in the right direction, we as a company believe that there is still a lot further to go. We believe adults should be able to smoke, eat or grow marijuana without any penalties under the law. People should not run the risk of getting a criminal record, fine or prison sentence for using this benign drug for recreational or medical purposes. THE PETITION Calling for the immediate re-legalisation of cannabis - the removal of cannabis from the Misuse of Drugs Act and other prohibitive legislation - and an immediate halt to the prosecution of people for the possession, cultivation or supply of cannabis subject only to the necessary restrictions needed to ensure quality and cleanliness of supply. DESIRED OUTCOME To free cannabis from prohibition thus enabling its full utilisation for all beneficial uses and research - for medicine, relaxant, fuel, fibre and food.
